George Cassar

George is a seasoned technology leader with over 20 years of experience in enterprise transformation, IT infrastructure, AI solutions, and hybrid cloud platforms. Currently serving as Data Technical Leader for IBM across Spain, Portugal, Greece, and Israel, he drives regional technical strategy and helps major enterprise clients modernize through IBM's Data & AI portfolio. He previously held leadership roles managing Customer Success and Technical Sales teams at IBM, as well as Head of Core Banking Systems at Alpha Bank. His deep expertise spans data architectures, watsonx, hybrid cloud adoption, and enterprise digital transformation.

George holds an MSc in Computer Science (with Merit) from the University of Birmingham and a BSc in Economic Science from the University of Piraeus.
