Elpida Fotiadou

Elpida Fotiadou is Head of the eHealth Horizontal Actions Directorate at IDIKA S.A., with responsibility for several nationwide and cross-border eHealth systems. She has extensive experience in the analysis, design and implementation of large-scale information systems and has played a key role in major national initiatives, including the National Social Security Number Registry (AMKA), the National Electronic Prescribing System, the Electronic Health Record System, the Primary Healthcare Information System, National Patient Registries and Medical Certificates.

She has also participated in several European eHealth projects, including SOHealth, NCPeHealth, HealtheID, EuroCAS, UNICOM and eIDAS. She is an elected member of the HL7 Hellas Steering Committee and represents Greece in the eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure Member State Expert Group (eHMSEG).

She holds a degree in Chemistry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s degree in Information Systems from the Hellenic Open University.
