Spyros Poulidas

Spyros Poulidas is Vice President, Data & AI, IBM EMEA and Chairman of the Board of IBM Hellas SA.

He was born in Athens in 1962. He studied Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Patras, Greece and holds a Master of Science Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, USA.

Mr. Poulidas began his professional career in 1988 as a consultant and joined IBM Greece in 1990, as a Systems Engineer. During his career in IBM Greece & Cyprus, he served as Manager of IBM Systems & Technology Group, Manager of IBM’s Enterprise General Business and from 2005 to 2010 as Executive Director of IBM Consulting & Technology Services. From 2011 till Feb. 2023, he was the Chairman & Managing Director (CEO) of IBM Greece & Cyprus, while in 2019 and 2020 served in parallel as Vice President of Enterprise & Commercial Business for IBM’s PGI Region (Portugal, Greece & Cyprus, Israel).

In March 2023, he was appointed as IBM Vice President, Data & AI for EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) and member of the IBM EMEA Leadership Team, while he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of IBM Hellas SA.

Mr. Poulidas is member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce and General Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Association of  IT Enterprises in Greece (SEPE). He also serves as member to various Information Technology related boards and committees.
